Young Professionals of Emergency Management (YPEM) is dedicated to empowering and connecting the next generation of leaders within the various sectors of emergency management. Our mission is to foster a collaborative community that promotes professional development, encourages innovative problem-solving, and advocates for resilient and sustainable practices within our field. Through education, mentorship, and networking, we aim to equip young professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to drive meaningful change and enhance disaster preparedness and response in their communities.
Our monthly newsletters are written as short conversational pieces discussing relevant topics to the field, including anything from EM life-hacks to reviews of updated FEMA policy.
As a young professionals group, our eligible age range is 18-40 years old with a focus on those already employed in or studying to enter the field of emergency management.
Although there is no obligation to interact, our goal is to foster community and use our network as a resource to grow within our careers.
